where women create

I hope you all had a lovely holiday yesterday. I enjoyed mine immensely, and I’m so thankful for the long weekend to relax afterward. :o)

I did a small guest post on the Where Women Create blog today. Head on over for a peak and a chance to win a French country tablecloth by Comptoir de Famille.

We’re also having a sale in all three of our shops for Black Friday. 15% off everything, even our sale items! (Sale does exclude design work). View the mailer here: details. Make sure to sign up for our mailing list, if you haven’t already by going to our main site. You’ll get advanced notice of our sales, exclusive discounts, and more!

Enjoy your weekend!

UPDATE we’re out of the black and white towels, but will be offering sheet music packets for the remainder of the weekend in place of them.

We’ve been adding dozens of items to the Etsy shop over the last few days, and we’re still not finished! Plus, we’ve marked over 100 items on sale. From now until Sunday November 7th, all items in the sale section are marked 20% off. And on top of that, all prints and notecards listed in our other shop Warm Whispers are also on sale. We hope a sale was just what you needed to get started on that holiday shopping. Enjoy!

it’s been awhile

I know it’s been awhile since my last post, but I’m still here. We don’t have any new baby news as of yet, but we are now “officially” licensed, and in the matching process, which we are told is usually six months to a year. Josh and I want an infant under a year old, so we may have to wait awhile for our match. It’s hard to wait, but we are hopeful that our “perfect match” is out there somewhere.

Here’s what I’ve been up to:

Prepping for baby… I’ve been buying toys, clothes, and gear and decorating like crazy! I am planning a post very soon to share some photos of my baby loot. (Which is so much fun to buy!)

Adding products to the shop… I’ve been scouring the estate sales and hand picking treasures for my Etsy shop (which I now call “Antiquity“, but it’s still under my “sadieolive” Etsy user name.) I’ve been at it for just over a year now, and can’t believe how well received we’ve been on Etsy. It’s such a great place to shop and sell. I find myself spending as much as I make some days!

My main shop Sadieolive.com is also still around, and I’ve marked a ton of inventory on sale for the holidays. Have a look in the shop if you are one of those early holiday shoppers looking to check some gifts off your list!

Design work… I’ve been working away on my scheduled projects. They keep me busy and help keep my mind off baby waiting. I’ve had some fun projects to work on lately, including the “Where Women Create” Magazine blog for Jo Packham. If you haven’t already checked out this magazine, you should! It’s a Stampington & Company publication that features the very creative work spaces of some of the most creative people you can imagine.

Speaking of magazines…. the über talented Matthew Mead has given me the good news that the premiere issue: HOLIDAY with Matthew Mead, Volume 1, 2010 Limited Edition is literally hot off the presses. I had the honor of contributing to this masterpiece, and I can promise you, that Matthew does not disappoint when it comes to awe inspiring beautiful décor and ideas. He was able to transform one of my photographs into something really special. Here’s a quick peek at things to come…

HOLIDAY is only available through the HOLIDAY web site and select boutique stores throughout the U.S. and Canada. It is in limited production, so act fast or you may miss out! For one lucky reader, we would like to surprise you with a free issue! Just leave a comment here on the blog, and I will announce the winner on November 1st. Good luck to all of you!
