I know it’s been awhile since my last post, but I’m still here. We don’t have any new baby news as of yet, but we are now “officially” licensed, and in the matching process, which we are told is usually six months to a year. Josh and I want an infant under a year old, so we may have to wait awhile for our match. It’s hard to wait, but we are hopeful that our “perfect match” is out there somewhere.
Here’s what I’ve been up to:
Prepping for baby… I’ve been buying toys, clothes, and gear and decorating like crazy! I am planning a post very soon to share some photos of my baby loot. (Which is so much fun to buy!)
Adding products to the shop… I’ve been scouring the estate sales and hand picking treasures for my Etsy shop (which I now call “Antiquity“, but it’s still under my “sadieolive” Etsy user name.) I’ve been at it for just over a year now, and can’t believe how well received we’ve been on Etsy. It’s such a great place to shop and sell. I find myself spending as much as I make some days!
My main shop Sadieolive.com is also still around, and I’ve marked a ton of inventory on sale for the holidays. Have a look in the shop if you are one of those early holiday shoppers looking to check some gifts off your list!
Design work… I’ve been working away on my scheduled projects. They keep me busy and help keep my mind off baby waiting. I’ve had some fun projects to work on lately, including the “Where Women Create” Magazine blog for Jo Packham. If you haven’t already checked out this magazine, you should! It’s a Stampington & Company publication that features the very creative work spaces of some of the most creative people you can imagine.
Speaking of magazines…. the über talented Matthew Mead has given me the good news that the premiere issue: HOLIDAY with Matthew Mead, Volume 1, 2010 Limited Edition is literally hot off the presses. I had the honor of contributing to this masterpiece, and I can promise you, that Matthew does not disappoint when it comes to awe inspiring beautiful décor and ideas. He was able to transform one of my photographs into something really special. Here’s a quick peek at things to come…
