I had a wonderful time getting to know them, and traipsing all around the beach for these memorable shots. It was a dream to work with such a gorgeous couple who are as friendly and fun as they could be.

And we had a few wardrobe changes in between… including this “flower child” inspired little number…

Isn’t he sweet? This little fella gave us all quite a scare with a four week early delivery, and then somehow managing to get the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck during birth. He was rushed away (without a first breath) and taken to the NICU. But he is quite a fighter. He made it, and although he is a little jaundiced, he is getting stronger each day and was finally able to come home with mom and dad.

I was happy to use my “new” vintage suitcases as props for tonights shoot. I just love how they came out. I put his daddy’s shirts inside to add some cushion for his sweet little tush.

And I’m always a fan of naked babies in beanies. :o)

Ryder wasn’t thrilled about being naked for all these pictures, but I think we managed to keep him happy for most of them. These last two he is in his daddy’s arms. (I think he might also be threathening me with his fist, as he had had enough of my camera and these were the last shots of the day).

I’m such a proud auntie. He’s a handsome baby and he is a little talker. He coos and makes sweet little noises when you talk to him and while he’s sleeping. Just seeing these images, my cup runneth over.

Can you believe how lucky I am to keep getting these beautiful clients? It’s hard to take a bad picture of any of them! Stephanie is due in July and will be calling me to take pictures of her little one when he/or she arrives! I can’t wait to share!

How sweet is she?!?!!? My job is such fun! Even though it looks like it, she didn’t sleep much when I was there, and she wasn’t really sure about my giant camera in her face, so she wasn’t having most of it. (I don’t think she cared for all my hats either!) :o) But I am hoping to do another session soon so I can get more of her interacting with mom and dad. I’ll be sharing those too, I’m sure!

Can you believe she is eight and a half months pregnant?!?!? I bet that baby (Peyton, a baby girl) is going to inherit some great genes from these two!  Both Mom and Dad are such lookers, they made it hard NOT to be inspired! We talked about doing a newborn session when the baby is born, so I’m hoping to share her pictures very soon! (She’s due in early July). I can’t wait to squeeze the cheeks of all these cute babies coming in the next few months! :o) Good luck to you Robert and Cari!

Lindsey and Nate were married (I think?) two years ago now, and Nate inherited my gorgeous niece Lauren, whom was Lindsey’s from a previous *accident*.  They have been together for years and Lauren has pretty much known him as “Dad” for all of them. That’s why when we decided to take maternity pictures of Lindsey, it was important to incorporate Lauren and Nate in those photos too.

I had two sessions with Lindsey and family… one about a month ago when we took some for her baby shower invites, and another just yesterday when she was a little “rounder” than last month. :o) I thought I would share some of the pictures with all of you.

I just love maternity sessions! I have another one on Sunday that I hope to share soon. :o) Happy weekend my friends!

Meet J.R.

Is he not the cutest thing ever?!?!!? He actually makes me want a boy even more than I want a baby girl (which is A LOT!) and that’s saying something! J.R. is full of personality (as you can see), and is so much fun to be around. He had his teddy to help him warm up to me at first, but we didn’t need him before long.

Mom was able to channel his inner G.Q. model…lol…

The sky was cloudy and lovely at this evening and Josh and I were enjoying the backyard, so I grabbed my camera and took some “just for fun” photos of the birds that frequent our yard. I just love cloudy sky’s in photos, they always look to soothing and peaceful.

As much as I love the clouds, I am praying for no rain tomorrow (or tonight) because I might be getting my whole house (exterior) painted tomorrow and rain would postpone things (and break my ever-so-hopeful heart). I have been wanting to paint the house since we bought it almost three years ago. When we bought it, it was pumpkin orange (take a peek here to see the old exterior). It’s come a long way, but painting it will just make my heart sing! Our master bedroom and front porch addition was started about two years ago, and to think that just a few coats of paint will rid me forever of that awful orange and get me one step closer to what I had envisioned when we started the addition is beyond thrilling! Say a little prayer for me. I will for sure be sharing photos if changes are made! Enjoy your weekend! (Hopefully rain free!)
