Home decor is something I have always loved to shop for. I frequently change my displays and collections, and cycle through tchotchkes like nobodies business. For the last several years (ten or more) I have passed on my gently used goods to my sisters, mother, or friends who find a new use for them in their own homes. It’s a habit that drives my husband crazy, because it usually means I buy more.
Well, this year I thought why not list the items that I have simply tired of or no longer have a place for. It’s a virtual yard sale, that might just find you a few good deals. A few of the items are one-offs from shop inventory, things I have been hoarding, or just decor I used in my own home that won’t fit in my Etsy shop, as it’s too “new” to be considered “vintage” and to “old” to be considered “new”… if you catch my drift.
I hope to add products to the Second Hand Shop weekly or so, so check back in from time to time. I am also adding new items (finally!) to the much neglected Etsy shop.

If you are anything like me, then you love to shop Etsy for vintage finds. I have more than a handful of favorite shops who always seem to find vintage goodies that get my ideas flowing, inspire décor, and just plain ol’ make me “want” something I hadn’t seen before.
That brings me to today’s featured shop: What’s New on the Mantel. This Portland shop is stocked full of oldies but goodies, and is giving one special reader a Summer inspired gift.
