quiet time

So I’ve been doing a bit of reflecting today. And I guess I’m feeling a bit envious, among other things, at all the girls out there who are passing me by. My friends recently went to France on a trip together, and although I was invited to go, I passed (both for financial reasons as well as that pesky fear of flying), and now that they are back, I’m torturing myself looking at the wonderful images they all captured, exciting places they got to visit, and imagining all the fun times they shared. (Oh why, oh why, do I let myself feel this tortured?) I think I need a vacation.

I really am happy for them. I am. And if you haven’t seen the amazing documentary of images on both Kim and Kasey’s blogs, you should head over there and take a peek. Maybe if you are jealous too, I won’t feel so bad. :o)

Speaking of amazing images, have you taken a peak at my friend Jeanne’s photo blog? These two images are so crazy inspiring to me. They make me want to up and move to Colorado! Both so I can hang with Jeanne, and so I can have amazing scenery like this to inspire me!

I am missing my girls. Big time. I think it’s time for another girls weekend away. Pick the place, plan the date, and you have my word, I will even FLY there. But I prefer to travel this way:

kasey - It took me a long time to make it to France…and a lot of penny pinching;-)
I would love to have a girls weekend with you….it might be in one of our backyards with a tent….but you name it…i’ll make it happen.

fairmaiden - You will be alright…maybe take a mini~holiday for the day to cheer you up. As you get older you will be able to let it go more gently…all your friends passing you by, I mean. I remember having such feelings at your age, but I’m 43 now and here to let you know your feelings will change and you will look back and see how much you did do! ’cause girl…you are doing alOt!!! You are living the dream sweet one. I’m afraid of flying too…so the closest I’ll get to Paris is Las Vegas! But you know what…the dear Jermaine at French Kissed reminded me of the beauty right here in my own backyard…so I hope to soon take a trip to Santa Barbara…and I will always consider S.F my Paris. ox

Kim - Oh, how fun it would have been to have you there! I know that before long you will have your own adventures and when you do, your photos will be, as they always are, marvelous!

stacy andrews - I just happen to run across your ETSY items, had a few minutes to then browse your blog. Darling, darling, darling. I wish you the best of luck with the baby/toddler. I am a mom first, preschool teacher second and potter third. Although my children are grow (two kids)and I am not too old to have more, I would only want the two I have now to do over. Those where the best moments in my life. I have endless videos from their childhoods and still would not wash the inside of my car window from my daughters foot prints the last time she flew home from the Air Force. I am a mom first :)
