Second looks

Remember the trash the dress session I did with my sister Lindsey? (View that post here).  Well I went back through a few of the photos that I chose not to edit before and looked at them with a fresh set of eyes. Now that my editing skills are getting a little stronger, I wanted to give a few of them that vintage look I love so much.

I was really happy with how these came out.  It’s amazing what taking a second look can do…

And to think I almost deleted these without ever playing with them! I’m dying to do some more of these sessions. They are so much fun!

Alice W. - So glad you didn’t delete them!! They are stunning! I especially love that top one!

Kristi H. - I love these photos! My fave is the bottom one! She looks like she’s about to go through that “tunnel” and have a great adventure, almost like Alice in Wonderland. And you can esp. tell you’re sisters by your sister’s profile in this one.

As always, you are even inspiring! Your photography, your home, etc!

Jane - Sara,
I saw these photos first time around and yes, I think they look a bit more vintage. I just love the pretty dress with the rugged boots in a natural setting. You have such a creative eye!

I come to your blog quite a bit but never comment, I just enjoy what I see & read. I like that you are sharing different aspects of yourself and your life more recently. I sense a lot of meloncholy about you that reminds me of myself~I too am a self~ professed homebody that lives in a sort of dream bubble!

Well, that’s it for my comments. Please do not look at my blog, my photography skills are embarassing to say the least… I’m testing the waters with a blog before I decide if I will dive in!

One last thing, can you share the name of the artist of the first song on your playlist? I just love the song.

Jaime C - I have really enjoyed these portraits. Most recently, I discovered them in your flicr photostream. Your story is an inspiration for myself starting out as a new photographer. I will remember to hang on to a few sessions until I learn the tricks to some great editing.

Love the vintage look!

best wishes,
Jaime
