The novelty hasn’t quite worn off….

I hope you aren’t sick of my close-up photos yet. I still have more to share. :)

Sara

This pretty little envelope was attached to a gift I received.  I just loved the stamped lettering and gold ink.

Dressform

A little corner in my office.

Earring

These cards were also a gift from a friend, and I loved the way she packaged them and tied them up with a vintage earring. Some people are just so clever! :)

That’s all for tonight. I have to go feed Hannah some dinner, she has been staring at me for the last 20 minutes and prodding me with her nose to tell me she’s hungry.

Delia - I just love your new look for the blog. You have such a lovely style. And I can’t believe you took your own portraits, they look professionally done, and come to find out they are self portraits. Impressive!

I also adore the dress form and have been after a vintage one myself. Though after seeing yours, I think it’s just as lovely. Please share where I might acquire one myself.

I would have to learn way too much about photoshop in order to do my own self portrait!

It’s funny, but I also bought red cross pins on ebay 2 weeks ago! same size, but just with the symbol, no words….
Great minds think alike ;)
I’m thinking about turning mine into earrings..hmmm….another project to think about, but for now I’ll be shopping for

Mermaid Queen - Your friends idea of tying up your present with a vintage earring is such a sweet idea. I also have a couple of dress forms I just love and I got them at a antique store in San Diego. They seem to be getting harder to find. I also love your photography. Your site looks great! ~Martha

Mari-Nanci - Oh sigh… I love macro photos. Yours are wonderful! {So glad I just came upon your blog!}

Wondering what Canon camera you have…? Perhaps you tell, in some older entry.

I have a Canon 10X Optical Zoom ~~ Power Shot SX100 IS. But I don’t know enough about cameras to know if one has to have a special Canon camera, to add a Cannon Macro lens…

Tricia - OMG! I can’t believe that I finally figured this blog-thang out! I’ve always thought of myself as pretty savvy on the computer, but I’ve completely missed the boat on blogging. Better late than never–I guess:)

Anyway, I am so totally impressed with everything that I’ve seen on your site!! These close-up shots are yummy, I love how something so simple can become so sensational with a zoom!

I was so delighted to read your article in my mom’s copy of Romantic Homes. I’m a designer and, I’ve been struggling to get my newest venture off the ground. After seeing your beautiful style, I’ve experienced a full week of excitement, inspiration, and accomplishments. I just wanted to say, thank you, thank you, thank you!
