I am so excited to decorate for Halloween. It’s the only holiday I have ever been excited about collecting for. For the last two years I have been buying pieces little by little. This last year I probably added the most, although I bought most of it after Halloween (on sale), so I didn’t get to display any of my new things. Being at home, and seeing all the fun stores and blogs talk about Halloween already has put me in the mood to decorate.
I had Josh get down all my boxes yesterday and I have been slowly unwrapping each piece. I am having so much fun, I forgot all the things I added last year, so it feels like unwrapping presents. I love all the vintage style Halloween decor they sell at Bayberry Cove, and I especially love any Halloween decor that plays up black and white. The black and white ones are always my favorites.
This is the best time of year. I love pumpkins…..the smells of carving pumpkins, pumpkin pie, pumpkin seeds… the colors of fall, the leaves on the ground… Turkey and cranberries, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy… (ok maybe that’s more for Thanksgiving)…. My birthday is also in October (on the 6th) so I think that plays a big part in it being my favorite time of year. I even planned our wedding for October. Josh and I were married on the 16th. We are nearing our three year anniversary. It’s unbelievable how fast time flies…
Anywho, I am busy decorating…. I have my trusty camera near by and I am snapping pictures like crazy… I will share more tomorrow. Good night, sleep tight, and don’t let the bed bugs bite.
P.S. Did I mention it’s 11:00pm, we have our thermostat set at 80 degrees, and the air conditioning is blowing like crazy!?!? Where the heck is fall?
