Well I may be a bit to late for Karla’s house party, but I just love the idea of her post and decided to take a few pictures of bits and pieces of my home and share in the fun.
My first picture is of my fireplace mantel in the from room. Which is the "formal" living room of sorts. We only really use it when there are parties at the house, or for reading magazines on occasion. It’s a very bright room and it looks out at my new front porch, which I love. I have it decorated here for Halloween. (Budda looks a little out of place, but I just love him).
This is the tin ceiling in my dining room, which I take no credit for. The prior owner made this design choice and it is something I just adore about the house. I hung my newest tin Halloween goodies from the chandelier.
I know you all have seen the vignette before, but it really is a favorite of mine. I love the black and white hats with the black and white painted harlequin pattern in the background.
These crown molding shelves are in my formal living room also, next to the fireplace. I love changing the display with the new items I get in. Right now the new goodies from the store are on display.
This piece is one of my favorites. Josh and I found it in San Clemente at an antique store. It’s an old shoe rack, which we have used to display wine, and various items we love. Right now it’s in my new master bedroom holding a few odds and ends.
This corner cabinet is in our hallway outside a bathroom with absolutely no storage. I took the curtains out and strung some starfish by an old rusty wire to change things up. I love how it came out. It provides just enough camouflage for the toiletries inside.
Across from the corner cabinet are these built in drawers and cabinets. They are very deep and give us so much space to store towels and linens. I just love the look of them.
This last one is a peek into my pantry. I love that my house has a pantry. It has a pocket french door we can close off, but still see through, so I try to keep thinks pretty inside. These baskets are on the top shelf, and the cutting board Josh’s mom hand painted for us.
Thanks for taking my "home tour". I hope you enjoyed your stay.
