Puppies are fun, but they are a lot of work - the fact that they are so adorable goes along way to helping a person overlook the work aspect of dog ownership - and I can see how it would be fun to watch someone else deal with the puppy behavior issues :o) I bet it is fun to watch the dogs play together.
