home office

I am continuing on with sharing the images I photographed of my home for the Creatively Made Home course last August. I hope I haven’t already posted these, I did a search and couldn’t find the post, so here’s hoping…

I change out what I have in this space most often, as I tire of the clutter and decide to pass on some of the vintage finds in my Etsy shop from time to time. The space has already changed a bit since these were taken, as I sold the large black base cabinets on either side of my desk and added a large armoire to the room. (I’ll have to take some new pictures to share once the clutter is tucked away again).

I love the large botanical chart I purchased on Etsy above my desk. It added a lot of color and femininity to the room, which was lacking from the space before (see old photos here).

I’ve felt the urge to de-clutter and simplify lately, so I’ve been letting go of a lot more of my “treasures”. Craig’s List has been awesome for that. I have a ton of large items that are just to costly to ship, so unfortunately there are some things I just can’t sell to anyone but locals. If you are local to me and interested, I’ve still got several things I’d love to pass on to the right home: The piano in my front room, the HUGE pink botanical print that was once in my front room, a silver Pottery Barn mirror, and an old sewing machine, to name a few. You can email me for pictures and pricing if you are interested. Everything is pick up only.

I’m off to spend some time with Finn on his last two days as a one year old…

Wow, your office space is amazing – and I love, love, LOVE how the tulip poster adds a pop of color but still so totally fits the decor! So fun to see it in your space (I remember how excited I was when I found out YOU were the one who purchased it in my Etsy shop :)

It’s wonderful..(It does ring a bell..I remember wishing I had a paper/roller like yours here:) For 4 little boys!
I don’t remember the paper doll..
Wonder if I pinned these or the kitchen..dining area only?
Great taste..as always!

Not sure if you had the square chair/pouf?

I really love your house and all the wonderful changes you’ve made along on the way! Thank you for all the inspiration and for sharing it with all of us!

Finn’s Playroom

Last year I shared some pictures of the playroom I’d been working on for Finn. It keeps evolving as it soon will be his bedroom, and I wanted to share some more recent pictures of the space. (As you can tell by Finn’s size and lack of hair, they are not super recent, but the space hasn’t changed much since last August when they were taken).

Josh and I made the large chalkboard ourselves (or attempted to) and then we had to call his Dad in for help once we discovered we were over our heads. I love the scale and how it came out.

The bookshelves we once had in here were sold, and I rearranged slightly. I still need to find a space for a dresser and I’d like an actual bed frame, and a hanging drum shade light fixture…eventually, but for now, I’m pretty happy with the space. And so is Finn, which is what really matters. I only have a few more years of getting to make all the design decisions in his room, so I better enjoy this while I can. ha!

Wow this is an awesome space!!! Oh Finn why can’t he stay small. They grow up way to fast. Love the Apple print.

Oh I so love everything about this room…. I am in the midst of helping my hazel eyed boy paint 2 walls of his room…It is so tiny and he has a double bed so it is a little more challenging ;) but I love that he wants to do it :)…Love to you xo

Finn is such a lucky boy! What a room! So beautifully done and full of love. My boy’s room layout is similar but when he was young I was too afraid to put the bed by the window. He liked to jump on the bed, hence too close to the window so we had to put it on the far wall. Still has it that way even though he’s grown past those years. Time to rearrange? Thanks for the inspiration.

I love this room! I don’t know if you have mentioned this before but where did you get that awesome metal shelving unit? I love it!

Thanks Jen. It is from a vendor of mine that went out of business. It’s made by Peddlers Design.

Summer is here

Boy it’s been awhile since I’ve posted! Hopefully that will change soon, as I’ve thought of a few things I’ve been meaning to share here lately. The first of which is the upcoming Summer issue of Souvenir!

The sneak peeks we get just before the issue is released are always so amazing, I can hardly wait to see the issue. I collaborated with my talented sister, Morgan in this issue, and we had some fun times at the beach “working” on making it pretty. We took a TON of pictures, so I will be sharing some of the images that didn’t make it in the issue very soon. (I adore beach pictures!!)

Souvenir is an online magazine that you can purchase a digital or print copy of. It is not sold in stores, so make sure you check the website for details. You can also follow the Facebook page for additional peeks into this issue and some behind the scene glimpses from the contributors.

P.S. These are my last few days as a mommy to a one year old! My little boy will be 2 in days! Ah! How did this happen?!?! I plan on sharing pictures of Finn’s birthday party, and more very soon.
