Happy Easter

Finn and I dyed Easter eggs this morning and I think he really enjoyed himself. He was in charge of the wire loop that pulls the eggs out of the water, and he spent most of the time dipping it in each colored filled bowl and tasting it. Luckily I don’t use any vinegar or it wouldn’t have tasted very good.

^ When we were through, we piled the dried eggs neatly in some bowls and Finn decided he had to “taste” them too.

All in all, I think he enjoyed himself. We’ve been practicing hunting for candy filled eggs this week in hopes that Easter morning will go a bit smoother. (He takes awhile to warm up around more than a few people, even when it’s family).

We also visited the Easter bunny at the mall, which didn’t go all that well…

Let’s hope after he receives his basket full of candy and toys that he changes his mind.

Happy Easter everyone!

January

Wow, January sure came and flew by fast. I’ve been busy with design work and chasing around Finn during the days so I somehow haven’t managed to update since the holiday. Finn celebrated his 18 month milestone on Josh’s birthday this month. He is getting so big! It’s truly amazing to watch how quickly he changes and grows. I finally took the time to snap some pictures of him today and I thought I would share…

a little bed head never hurt anyone…

“what’s that round black thing you’re holding, mom?”

stretch…aka… tall, skinny boy

one of his favorite things to do…

where he spends most of his time…

with his dozens of cars and trucks…

Random Stuff

Just wanted to pop in with a few random thoughts… First, I have to share these images…

I bought Finn the cutest little wooden camera from this Etsy shop: Twig Creative   He’s a bit too young to know what to do with it, but I had fun taking his picture with the camera around his neck. He’ll be my future assistant for certain. ;)

My sister, Morgan has her very own blog now. She is a copywriter with amazing writing skills, a skilled photographer, a fashionista, and can run circles around me in the exercise department (quite, literally!). She posted some before and after pictures of her home today and I thought some of you might enjoy a peek at her blog: See Mo Go

Speaking of blogs, I forgot to mention that I have a new article out in the latest (autumn 2012) issue of Somerset Life by Stampington & Company. I was asked to write a story about blogging, and I chose to highlight my very personal fertility struggle and our amazing life changing adoption of Finn. My blog played such a big part in all of it, and I loved being able to tell the story. Blogs can be an amazing source of inspiration, support, and opportunity, if you let them. My life has been abundantly blessed by this blog, and all of you who read it. So, thank you!
