Tiggy & Grace

I have written about my lovely friend, Kimberly before. We have worked along side each other during several of my recent projects, including the Creatively Made Home course and Souvenir Magazine. Kimberly has a style that appears so effortlessly casual, warm, earthy, and inviting. It’s everything I love this time of year and have been striving to achieve more of in my own home.

A foody and photographer at heart, Kimberly combines her talents with the elements we’ve all been in love with: natural linen, hand-thrown pottery and raw wood. That’s why when she told me she would be opening up her own pop-up shop this week, I squealed with delight.

The shop, named Tiggy & Grace, named after her grandmother, will be open this Friday, November 16th. It’s a “pop-up” shop which means everything she’s selling is limited in quantities and once it’s gone, it’s gone.

There will be one-of-a-kind pottery her husband made at home. Think rustic, imperfect and beautifully unique.

There will be lovely hand-made linen aprons and napkins, designed by Kimberly and perfect for gift-giving.

And locally made smoked salts packaged in weck jars…

These are just a few of the lovely things you will find at Tiggy & Grace. Be sure to visit the shop this Friday and check some of those gifts off your holiday list. And pick yourself out something pretty too. (I know I will!)

Treats in the Streets

Last week Finn was invited to his first Halloween party following the annual “Treats in the Streets” event held in the Orange Circle.

Our friends, Amy, Phillip and Vivienne were hosting:

Amy has a yard that Finn just LOVES to run around in, and chickens he loves to point and stare at…

When he wasn’t too busy running around (and loosing a shoe) he also got to bob for apples:

I think he really enjoyed himself, as did Miss Vivienne, as you can clearly see. :)

happy new year

Happy new year! I am so excited to begin a new year. I feel like I got so behind with my goals last year, but obviously for good reason. This year is already starting out to be an exciting one, as I have some very exciting things happening not too far off (more on that later)…

One of the things I am excited about this week, is something I would love to share with some of you…

My beautiful and very talented friend, Jeanne Oliver is hosting her very first e-course. She asked me to contribute in the smallest way with a video interview, and I nervously agreed… I am thrilled to be a part of something so magical, and among the company of so many talented women.

Not only is the course four weeks long, but there are multiple how to videos that you can access at your own pace… I am super excited to try my hand at some of these techniques. Jeanne has also created a private Facebook group for class participants so we can encourage and support one another on this journey. It’s the perfect way to start the new year…

I’m hoping I can pick up a few new skills that will encourage me to explore my inner “artistic” self…

I’d love it if you would join us… Just click on the images to learn more about the class, and purchase anytime before January 9th.  Here’s a bit more info from Jeanne:

Hope to see some of you there.

Happy 2012!
