Well, hello there! I’m Sara. Several years ago, in early 2007, I opened an online shop, selling home décor and accessories. I am an avid decorator and shopper, and thought nothing could possibly be as fun as helping others shop & decorate… and so my business, ‘Sadie Olive’ was born.
Just a few short months later, I began offering design services for other women looking to begin the same exciting venture I did. Sadie Olive Design allowed me to stay home full time and keep up with the new boutique while helping others start their own online blogs and businesses.
This little ol’ site has opened the door to many opportunities I would not have known otherwise; including the honor of being featured in a few magazines, and even a small television appearance. Our home has been featured in Romantic Homes Magazine (March 2008), Budget Decorating (Fall 2008), and Dovetales (Fall 2008). I’ve also had the honor of being in these fine publications: Artful Blogging Magazine (Fall 2008), Somerset Life (Oct/Nov/Dec 2012), and Somerset Life (Jan/Feb/Mar 2015). And perhaps most excitingly, on the House Proud segment of the Nate Berkus show in February 2012.
Photography is another passion of mine, although it probably gets the least amount of my attention. In 2012 and 2013 I photographed and contributed to Souvenir, an online lifestyle magazine. You can find many of my photographs in my Etsy shop, which I sell in the form of postcards, notecards and prints. I also am occasionally known to offer local photography sessions for babies, maternity and children.
I hope that you find this site, and my photos worth peeking in on every now and then.
