The other morning I woke up before Finn and laid in bed feeling inspired to take some photos of the beautiful light filtering through the curtains in my bedroom. It’s been awhile since I have been inspired to shoot, so I decided to take several images throughout the day of my home and bedroom. I’ve shared some of these on instagram already, but here you can see the uncropped versions in their entirety.
My side of the bed. It’s amazing what a little greenery can do for a space.
The bathroom shot, above, I actually took today. I’ve been wanting to switch out the old medicine cabinet and French footed pot in the bathroom for awhile now. I posted on Instagram a floral print I have in another room in it’s place and a simple Anthropologie candle in place of the pot. It took seeing the room in a photo styled differently to make me realize that I actually do prefer the room the way I had it before I messed with it. So back it went, and I think I have changed my outlook on it a little now. Don’t you love it when that happens?
The French doors in my bedroom were changed a few months ago when I took down the sheers that used to hang here and prevented me from easily opening the doors. I found the French door curtain rods at Pottery Barn, and hung two of the hemp table runners I carry in the shop as make shift curtains. It was supposed to be a temporary solution, but I ended up liking it and so they’ve remained my curtains ever since.
The antique chair was an estate sale find, and might just be one of my very favorite pieces in our home.
And there you have it. A few recent pictures of the space I spend most of my time in.
