pins and needles

First let me start off by saying I have no news to report as of yet, but I am on pins and needles these last few weeks thinking I could get that long awaited call at any moment. I am hardly sleeping due to my excitement and it doesn’t help that I check my cell phone half a dozen times between midnight and six a.m. each night. (Not to mention the fact that it doesn’t leave my side for more than a moment all day long).

It dawned on me the other day that I better start taking a shower each morning and getting dressed in case I have to rush out of the house on a moments notice. (I am usually working in my jammies all day, so it’s a bit of an adjustment for me).

We are as ready as we can be. A few of my friends have come by to visit and teased that there is enough baby gear here for three babies, so I may have overdone it just a bit. The car seat is buckled in, our bags are packed and we are just brimming over with joy and anticipation, proudly awaiting the life that is about to begin.

I want to say thank you to all of you who commented on my last post. I was overwhelmed by the sentiments so many of you shared with me, and I feel so honored to have such support and encouragement in my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Oh this is just tooo exciting.
Just a few short weeks and you will be holding your little boy.
I don’t think I would be sleeping either, you have been waiting so long these last few days must be such torture.
Good Luck with everything, I have my fingers crossed for you.
I love that giraffe in the pic ooo I have a soft spot for giraffes in baby rooms.

I’ve been checking your blog a few times a day since you first made your happy announcement! ( I know- I need to get a life…) and was a little worried when you didn’t post any updates since then! So happy to hear the excitement in your post today! You sound like an expectant mother! And you are! Best of luck to you! My thoughts are with you and your husband- your whole family! And also with the birth parents as they face what I am certain is the most difficult thing they will ever have to do in their lives. I pray they have the continued faith and courage to know they are making the best decision for their baby by placing their love in your arms! God bless you and them as well!

    Bonjour Sara,
Nous attendons avec toi l’arrivée du petit garçon!
C’est un joli choix de décor pour l’enfant! J’aime bien!
J’espère qu’il appréciera l’effort apporté pour qu’il soit dans un cocon.

Congrats on the exciting news on your previous post. I can’t even imagine the excitement you must be feeling (although I am in touch with wearing pajamas all day) … :-) Wishing you and your husband and new baby boy all the best. Can’t wait to meet him. -amy

You are behaving precisely as all pregnant women behave, because you have a
PREGNANT HEART! I made a brooch out of clay for a friend of mine waiting to adopt. It was a small 3d heart, with a big bulge in the middle: a pregnant heart. I would make one for you, but you are FAR more crafty than I am. Also, hopefully by the time it was made and shipped, you would not longer be pregnant, but have turned into a MOMMY!

I’m on “pins & needles” for you, Sara:) You & your hubby & baby-to-be deserve all kinds of happiness!! And I can’t wait to “meet” your sweet bundle of joy:) P.S. Try to sleep…you’re gonna need it!;)

    Dear Sara,

God bless your new family. I have not visited your blog for a while but saw your work along side mine in an Etsy treasury and wanted to check in remembering that you were awaiting a baby. You will be wonderful parents ~ little boys are a delight {I have one} ~ and he is a lucky child.

    Ciao bella,
