Yummy Goodness

I swear Finn has grown so much lately. He’s turning into a little boy right before my eyes. Just look at this soon to be 2 year old…

Our bathroom gets the best light and I couldn’t help but capture these images after a shower this morning. Add a hooded chicken towel, and there you have it… pure yummy goodness.

I’ve got a second birthday to plan and I can hardly wait! His birthday is in July and I’m already gathering ideas and saving inspiration.

Sara,

I can’t believe Finn is almost TWO! I remember watching for your posts while you were awaiting his arrival. He’s as adorable as ever :)

Oh he does look delicious … I cannot believe it .. 2 years old. Impossible.
How can he be 2 when I am still the same age ? Amazing.
Give him a kiss from me … tell him it comes from one of his many fairy godmothers :)
One for you too !

Minor Bedroom Updates

Here are a few recent pictures of our bedroom I posted about yesterday:

As you can see, nothing major has changed, but again, I changed up the bedding and swapped out a few pillows. The small rug in the middle is really just so my kitty has a soft place to land when jumping off the bed. The large mirror I had in the front room above the fireplace for awhile has now made it’s way back into my room, as did St. Francis whom  for now resides on my nightstand.

Love, Love! Did you do the top of the burlap curtains? I love burlap so much. Thank you for sharing.

Sara,

Your bedroom is as beautiful as the rest of your home! I have pillows and linens in pinks/reds and also in blue that I love to switch out too. It’s such an easy way to give a room a new look. Have a great weekend :)

Thank you! Joan, I purchased the smocked burlap curtains from Patina Green Home and Market. :)

It looks great and kitty seems to like the new bedding! I love all the natural elements, makes for a soft place to soothe the soul.

I think your bedroom is larger than my entire cottage.

I love the long, low white cabinet.

Oh you bedroom is simply lovely! I had to laugh because I was thinking alone similar lines as Carol! Not bigger than our whole home but definitely the any room in our home. :-) Could we have had a bigger home? Yes… so I don’t begrudge anyone a larger home. Our place is perfect for our current situation. :-) All that aside I have to say you inspire me! There have been some changes I want to see around here, and I do believe we are going to see them happen starting NOW! Not big things but changing from having things to fill the spaces to only purchasing things we LOVE! (we started doing this some time ago but haven’t truly implemented it to the extent I would like… so now is the time to start!)

Thank you for inspiring me!

Master Bedroom

I think as far as my home decor goes, my master bedroom is the room I tire of the least these days. Even though I feel like my style is changing and my urge to purge lately is certainly affecting the rest of my home, the things in my bedroom remain mostly constant. I surround myself with the things I love the most in this room, old grain sacks, my favorite pillows, worn wood, antique furniture and botanical touches.

Although the room doesn’t look exactly like this today, I thought I’d share some more of the images I took for Creatively Made back in August…

I tend to waver back and forth in my choice of bedding… sometimes I go for the blue and when I feel like mixing things up for a bit, I will switch to red…

I actually bought a new linen duvet from West Elm a few months back, and a lovely cream and grey blanket to layer over it. I’ll have to take some updated pictures to show you all the changes.

Have a lovely week. Can you believe it’s already Thursday?!
